§ 425-20. Handicapped parking.

  • A. 
    At the request of any handicapped person, the Borough Council, by motion, may authorize the erection on a Borough street, as close as possible to their place of residence, a sign or signs indicating that that place is reserved for a handicapped person. At the discretion of the Borough Council, it may, by motion, remove any signs erected pursuant to this section at any time.
    B. 
    The Borough may, at its discretion, set up guidelines by resolution, which at its discretion, may be changed, or deviated from at anytime to regulate the granting of parking spaces for handicapped persons as set forth in Subsection A of this section.
    C. 
    Any unauthorized person parking in spaces established pursuant to Subsection A of this section shall be guilty of a summary offense and pay a fine of $15.
